Our Age Verification Commitment
At Prepping Warehouse, we take our legal responsibilities extremely seriously. In accordance with the Offensive Weapons Act 2021, any product that is age restricted, including knives, bladed tools, crossbows and crossbow accessories, can only be purchased by individuals aged 18 or over.
As part of our compliance procedures, we are required to verify the age of every customer purchasing an age restricted item. This verification must be completed before any order can be dispatched.
Required Identification
To complete age verification, you will need to provide one of the following valid documents:
- Passport
- Driving licence
- Birth certificate
If the address on your ID does not match the billing or shipping address on your order, we will also require a recent utility bill or official document that confirms your name and current address.
Orders cannot be shipped until age verification has been successfully completed. If we do not receive valid ID, the order will remain on hold and will not be dispatched.
Failed ID Policy
The name on the identification provided must match the name on the order. The use of false ID or ID belonging to another person is illegal and will be treated as such.
If an ID check fails for any of the following reasons:
- Attempting to purchase an age restricted product while under 18
- Buying on behalf of someone under 18
- Submitting false or altered identification
- Using someone else's ID
Prepping Warehouse will issue a £4.95 administrative fee to cover the time and processing costs involved. Any deliberate misuse of identification will result in:
- A permanent ban from shopping with Prepping Warehouse
- A formal report to the police
These measures ensure we remain fully compliant with UK legislation and maintain the safety and integrity of our retail environment.
